The Greifenstein Mountain Run is a road race covering 5.3 km from Ehringshausen – Katzenfurt to Greifenstein Castle. The route starts in Katzenfurt and follows a 2.5 km long, nearly flat asphalt road to Edingen. From the town center of Edingen, the ascent begins over 2.8 km with an elevation gain of 260 m, featuring varying gradients and some challenging sections. The 26th Greifenstein Mountain Run will take place on June 14, 2025, and the beautiful courtyard of Greifenstein Castle will serve as the finish line, as well as the location for picking up race materials and the awards ceremony.
